Accepted Answer

The Local Group contains our Milky Way, the Andromeda galaxy, the Triangulum galaxy and ~80 smaller galaxies. It is gravitationally bound — despite cosmic expansion, its members are drawn together. Andromeda approaches us at 110 km/s — a collision in 4.5 billion years.
