Question

Did you know? Snakes don't "dislocate" their jaws — a popular myth. Instead their upper and lower jaws are connected by flexible ligaments (no hinge like our jaw). That lets them open their mouth extremely wide to swallow large prey — without ever "dislocating".

Accepted Answer

Snakes don't "dislocate" their jaws — a popular myth. Instead their upper and lower jaws are connected by flexible ligaments (no hinge like our jaw). That lets them open their mouth extremely wide to swallow large prey — without ever "dislocating".
