Question

Did you know? Owls CANNOT swivel their eyes in their sockets — that's why they turn their whole head. They can rotate up to 270° in one direction (three-quarters of a full turn). Special arterial reservoirs prevent their blood vessels from being pinched off during the rotation.

Accepted Answer

Owls CANNOT swivel their eyes in their sockets — that's why they turn their whole head. They can rotate up to 270° in one direction (three-quarters of a full turn). Special arterial reservoirs prevent their blood vessels from being pinched off during the rotation.
