Question

Did you know? Achilles' mother Thetis dipped him as a baby in the river Styx to make him immortal — but she held him by the heel, the only spot not wetted. He later died in the Trojan War from an arrow to that heel. Today we call any vulnerable weakness someone's "Achilles heel".

Accepted Answer

Achilles' mother Thetis dipped him as a baby in the river Styx to make him immortal — but she held him by the heel, the only spot not wetted. He later died in the Trojan War from an arrow to that heel. Today we call any vulnerable weakness someone's "Achilles heel".

Vandaag noemen we elke kwetsbare zwakte iemands "achilleshiel".
