Question

Did you know? Mendeleev published the periodic table in 1869 and deliberately left gaps for elements not yet discovered — he even predicted their properties. Gallium, scandium and germanium were later found and slotted exactly into those gaps.

Accepted Answer

Mendeleev published the periodic table in 1869 and deliberately left gaps for elements not yet discovered — he even predicted their properties. Gallium, scandium and germanium were later found and slotted exactly into those gaps.
