Accepted Answer

Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, is said to live in the Halemaʻumaʻu crater of Kīlauea. Tourists who take a lava rock home regularly mail it back, convinced it brought them bad luck. Park rangers receive hundreds of "cursed" stones every year.

Park-rangers ontvangen jaarlijks honderden "vervloekte" stenen.
